A two-months-pregnant Texas teenager is suing her own parents, saying that they are forcing her to have an abortion, according to Fox News.

The teen, only identified by the initials R.E.K. in the lawsuit because she is a minor, claims in the lawsuit that her parents have used verbal threats and harassment to get her to have an abortion. The lawsuit, according to Fox News, indicates that R.E.K.'s parents kept her home from school, and R.E.K.'s father harassed the child's father and paternal grandmother.

The teen also claimed in the lawsuit, according to Click2Houston.com, that her mother "... invited the paternal grandparents to a bar for further discussion, where she suggested that she might slip her an abortion pill through deception."

The judge, according to Click2Houston.com, granted a temporary restraining order to prevent the parents from interfering.

"We were asking judge to stop them physically forcing her to have an abortion," attorney Stephen Casey of the Texas Center for Defense of Life told Click2Houston.com. "She is legally protected. They cannot drag her to get an abortion, force an abortion on our client."

Under Roe v. Wade, a woman has the right to decide whether she wants an abortion, and as stated in Bellotti v. Baird, a teenager has the right to make her own decisions concerning her reproductive health.
