Whitney Houston is unforgettable because of the huge contributions she has made in the music industry. The singer's life was revived in a documentary titled "Whitney: Can I Be Me." A new revelation about the secret life of the hit maker was revealed.

The songstress who was called "The Voice" was a bisexual having a secret relationship with her long-time assistant and best friend Robyn Crawford. Houston's friend and stylist Ellin Lavar revealed about the "Run to You" singer's sexuality according to Radar Online. She also disclosed that "Robyn provided a safe place for her...in that Whitney found safety and solace." She added that Whitney's husband Bobby Brown hindered the special relationship.

One of Houston's security personnel, Kevin Ammons revealed that the pair were inseparable and were like twins. Brown just could not remove Crawford from the singer. Another former bodyguard of Bobbi Kristina Brown's mother said that Bobby and Robyn were like fire and ice. They hated each other as they compete for Whitney's affection.

Lavar further revealed that when Robyn separated from Houston, her downward spiral started. Robyn was the one keeping the singer intact.

People reported that Robyn and the "One Moment in Time" singer met in East Orange, N.J. in 1979. She was with the singer when her career reached the top. In 1999, Brown and Crawford reached a breaking point and that was the time Robyn went far away from her best friend.

Houston was found lifeless in a bathtub with her body submerged in water in her suite at the Beverly Hilton Hotel on Feb. 11, 2012. She died at the age of 48 and her autopsy results showed she had various drugs in her system.

Robyn described Whitney Houston as "a loyal friend" who "looked like an angel," the same words were written in an obituary written by the bereaved friend. The documentary was co-directed by Nick Broomfield and Rudi Dolezal. It was shown three times at the Tribeca Film Festival where it premiered.
