The original "The LEGO Movie" is now getting a sequel. This was revealed by the actor that played Emmet in the original movie. He informed that he will be filming very soon. Although it is hard to know exactly how the characters will be played out but with the original directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord on board, it is a sure thing that the movie will be another hit. "Trolls" director Mike Mitchell will helm the sequel.

It was reported that the sequel will continue where the original movie has left off according to Screen Rant. It was previously hinted that there will be an outer space adventure. The release date is scheduled on February 8, 2019.

The film has two spin-offs - "The LEGO Batman Movie" and "The LEGO Ninjago Movie." Pratt revealed that "The first movie is a very difficult movie to create a sequel to because, as all the best movies do, it paints itself into a corner. There will be a huge jump with the tearing down of the fourth wall in the final act. Dealing with it, they already have some awesome ideas and I can't wait for people to see it."

According to Pratt, his appearance on the sequel has been confirmed and the film is still in the early stage of development. Heroic Hollywood reported that he just got hold of the script and is yet to study his part. He will start working in two weeks time. He hinted that the sequel will deal with the original's big twist.

Chris Pratt is currently promoting his movie due for release next month - "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2." This early, the producers are already hinting on working for "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3." The actor has recently become a member of the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
