Utgard Castle is an abandoned castle located close to the perimeter of Wall Rose. This castle is also the setting of "Attack on Titan" episode 29. The episode showed some real action, but we are also given a glimpse of the love triangle involving Ymir, Christa, and Reiner.

Travelers Today previously reported that Season 2 will focus on characters who did not get much of the spotlight during Season 1. No less than the new director himself, Masashi Koizuka, confirmed that "Attack On Titan" Season 2 will focus on Krista and Ymir, teasing that these characters "will be in the eye of the storm" this season. Before discussing the new episode, let's do a quick recap of episode 28 first.

According to Metro, "Attack on Titan" episode 28 showed Connie's squad arriving at his hometown, wherein he expected to find his family, but he found a Titan lying down instead. This episode had a revelation when Hange discovered that a rock that she was holding turned out to be the skin of a Female Titan's hardened skin. She and Armin soon found out that the Wall are built around by Titans using the hardened skin. This means that Eren's Titan abilities could be used to seal the breaches in the Wall.

Now for "Attack on Titan" episode 29, the Titans advance to Utgard Castle. IGN said that the latest episode focused on the sad stories that just made fans understand the side of each anonymous characters. Episode 29 also had a lot of scenes showing the heroic abilities of Ymir and Reiner, but it seems like the love triangle among Ymir, Christa, and Reiner is deepening.

Ymir would do anything to protect Krista, but it seems that Reiner is falling hard for her, too. It would be very interesting to follow where this story would lead to, and if a lot of fans are now wondering who Krista would choose. The mix of action and emotional moments make the "Attack on Titan" episode 29  the best one yet for Season 2, critics agree.
