Nintendo has already discontinued the NES Classic Edition, but for at least one day, April 24, it will hit Best Buy stores in the U.S. The company said, though, that it will have limited quantities, so people who are looking to get their hands on one should be there early.

According to a report from The Verge, Best Buy announced on Twitter that they will be offering stocks of the limited classic console once their stores open. The limited stocks are available only for purchase via the stores and not online.

The report said that a spokesperson for Best Buy said the units will be sold on a first come first serve basis. There are some Best Buy stores that are going to have a ticketing process, which they will distribute before their doors open. Several of these said stores are located in New York City.

As for how many stocks are available, Best Buy didn't provide how many console units they have left or how many of the last shipments they received. This makes it hard to gauge how fast the units will go when the stores open and if there will be more that appears on its shelves until the end of April.

USA Today reports that Best Buy will be selling the NES Classic Edition at one per customer only. The classic console was released last year at $60 per unit and became a surprise hit for Nintendo.

The company, though, struggled to keep up with demand, which made resellers capitalize and offer the classic consoles at a premium price. Despite the popularity, Nintendo announced earlier this month that the NES Classic Edition will be discontinued and this makes Best Buy's announcement even more important for people who are still looking to purchase the console at its original SRP.

The report said that the NES Classic Edition is currently being sold on eBay for more than $200, or three to four times its regular price. Check out the review of the NES Classic Edition in the video below, for those who have yet to purchase the console.
