Samira Wiley who plays the already dead character Poussey Washington in "Orange is the New Black" married screenwriter Lauren Morelli in a non-traditional wedding ceremony in Palm Springs. Both women wore Christian Siriano gowns.

Daily Mail reported that they headed to the happiest place on earth - Disneyland in Southern California. They were joined with some friends. The newlyweds were generous in sharing photos of their pre-honeymoon escapades. The new couple jetted off to some secluded place for the honeymoon.

Cosmopolitan wrote that they met on the set of "Orange is the New Black" where Wiley is an actor while Morelli is a writer. While writing the scripts, the 34- year-old eventually realized that she is gay. However, she was married to TV producer Stephen Basilone.

But now, they are a couple and enjoying the bliss of their marriage. Morelli's discovery of her true sexuality happened on the set as she was surrounded by gay people who are proud and happy.

She told her husband about her dilemma but the couple opted to go on a therapy. However, she was still feeling lost and she decided to split from him. She got her own place in LA and stayed there. During her stay, Wiley frequently visits her and they spend some time alone together which made them realize that they want to spend the rest of their lives together.

Both of them have an attraction towards each other when they met. However, Morelli was not out yet and was still in the process of discovering her true self. The actress became her confidant until she fell in love with her.

Knowing that the writer-producer was married, the 29-year-old actress was willing to wait until she was ready. When Morelli proposed to her, she cried non-stop unbelieving that they can possibly live their lives together.

They planned the wedding in haste as both of them are busy. "Orange is the New Black" is still in production in New York while Wiley has a project in Toronto called "A Handmaid's Tale."
