Alex Quinn's mother will be visiting in "NCIS" Season 14 episode 20, entitled "A Bowl Of Cherries". On this episode, Quinn will not be with the rest of the team while they are working on finding a hacker.

CBS released the official preview of this episode saying that the laptop of a vice admiral got infected by a ransomware. He then assigned McGee and the NCIS team to locate the hacker's whereabouts before his important personal and work-related files in the laptop will all be eliminated by the virus.

Apart from that, the summary also suggested that Quinn (Jennifer Esposito) would take a time off from work upon getting a 911 text message. It appears that her mother Marie (Mercedes Ruehl) is in some kind of trouble.

The "NCIS" TV series is confirmed to have renewed for another season, and season 15 will be rolling out soon. There are still speculations that the next season will be the show's last installment. This is due to the recent decrease in ratings seen during its season 14 premiere. The viewership of the series according to TVseriesfinale has plummeted to 12.5 percent as compared to its previous season's viewers ratings.

There are several claims that this decrease in ratings is due to the exit of Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly). It is noticeable that the show continuously introduces fresh characters to compensate for his character's absence. In addition, the story is given more variety to make it appear more interesting.

"NCIS" season 14 is airing on CBS every Tuesday at 8/7c. NCIS is one of the shows that CBS renewed along with "The Big Bang Theory" and added 16 more shows in their line-up. "NCIS" Season Finale is scheduled to be aired on May 14 this year.
