Talks about "Steven Universe" Season 4 being canceled can be finally put to rest. Cartoon Network recently confirmed that the show has a guaranteed spot for 2017 to 2018. Six other returning series have been renewed as well.

Christina Miller, President Cartoon Network-Adult Swim-Boomerang said that as children's viewing habits have evolved, the network has been there with them and that they are keeping their "sole focus on them as they inspire us to reimagine television."

According to C21Media, "Steven Universe" as well as "We Bare Bears," "The Powerpuff Girls," "Mighty Magiswords," "Adventure Time," "Teen Titans Go!" and "The Amazing World of Gumball" were all given renewals.

Although "Steven Universe" is currently on another hiatus, fans are relieved to know about the renewal. A lot of previous reports talk about the show being canceled, and viewers are concerned about the show's long breaks. Now, we can all rest easy, and be assured that this current hiatus is just one of the somewhat erratic schedule of the series.

Cartoon Network stopped airing episodes after March 10, and "Steven Universe" Season 4 was scheduled to have another episode aired on March 23, but that did not happen. There are no updates yet as to when the next episodes will be aired but Season 4 has 26 planned episodes.

Travelers Today previously wrote about how Cartoon Network is being mum about the future of the show, but that's just because they have something else planned - and that's the announcement of the shows that were given the green light. Six new shows are confirmed as well.

Deadline reported that the new series on Cartoon Network are "Apple & Onion" (created by George Gendi of "The Amazing World of Gumball"), "Craig of the Creek" (by Matt Burnett and Ben Levin of "Summer Camp Island"), "OK K.O.! Let's Be Heroes," "Ben 10," and "Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs."
