Last week, fans of "One-Punch Man" got good news when it was confirmed that that anime series is now in production. What's even more exciting is that they may be a love interest for Saitama in Season 2. But the hero may also face his first defeat.

Mangum Star News said that it is not yet announced as to when "One-Punch Man" Season 2 will be released. A Twitter user named @KenXyro spotted a new advert from Shueisha about the status of Season 2, and the promo shows a Saitama sporting a cape. This is what the Twitter post said: "One Punch Man Season 2 confirmed. Production is in progress. Exact date is TBA. (This scan is pretty bad btw)"

The project was confirmed during the "One Punch Man Fall Festival." It may take a while before the series returns, though. An anime consisted of 12-13 episodes could take about six months to animate, so if Season 2 is confirmed, expect for it to be released next year as the soonest.

The synopsis of "One-Punch Man" Season 2 says Saitama may have this impression of being a regular guy when you look at him because he has an "unimpressive physique." He may be average-looking, but he can't seem to find an opponent strong enough to take on! Rumors say that Saitama may just meet his match in Season 2.

Fans speculate that Lord Boros may come back to make his revenge, while others say that the big villain in Season 2 would be Garou. It's unlikely that Boros would return, though, but Garou is a different story. We would have to wait until "One-Punch Man" Season 2 - and the wait is agonizing to its millions of fans.

Speaking of fans, here's another proof that "One-Punch Man" is getting more and more popular. Younkou Productions recently posted on Twitter that "One-Punch Man" manga has 12 million copies in print. It also confirmed the news that Season 2 is indeed in the works, and it added that more information is coming soon.
