Hajime Isayama's "Attack on Titan" is back once again and the hype to the phenomenal anime series hasn't dropped a single notch even after the four-year hiatus. The highly-anticipated anime premiered in Japan last April 1 where the series was shown on numerous networks and simulcasts. The episode aired right away without recaps that are common to series which undergone long breaks.

Episode 26 continued where the first season left off wherein Annie Leonhart aka the Female Titan was recently apprehended by the Survey Corps in a gruesome and bloody operation. To their shock, it also revealed that the wall that always protected them are made of the very monster that is killing them. It turns out that the minister who leads the wall worshipping cult was aware of this information when he warned the soldiers that they shouldn't let sunlight shining on it. However, when he was questioned for an explanation he refused to share any information.

Following the discovery of Annie's betrayal to humanity, the other members of the 104th Training Corps were suspected of the same thing where they are detained in a building within Wall Rose. Suddenly, a group of titans showed up raising the idea that Wall Rose has been breached. The Beast Titan made its first TV appearance where it is shown with above average intelligence and ability to speak.

In other reports, Toonami will be airing the second season of "Attack on Titan" starting April 29 as stated by The Out Housers. The network has already made a public announcement regarding the release where they also included the advertisement on the Season 3 premiere of "Rick and Morty." There is no definite time slot where the show will be put but it will probably take the spot of "One Piece" which was pulled recently.

According to Anime News Network, Adult Swim Vice President Jason DeMarco confirmed the release of "Attack on Titan" on Toonami. He confirmed on his official Twitter account that the series will debut in Japan on April 1. He clarified that it is not an April fool's joke. While Toonami will start releasing the anime three weeks from now, Funimation and Crunchyroll are streaming the simulcasts of the anime series.
