It seems that the stocks of Nintendo Switch and the NES Classic Edition that were available at Best Buy is now sold out. And it looks like these stock shortages will likely linger for a while as Nintendo doesn't seem to have an answer for it.

According to a report from Game Spot, Best Buy announced on Twitter that on March 29, 2017, 12 noon Central Time, both the consoles will be available online. The company said stocks are limited so they don't expect it to last long.

Unfortunately, the stocks didn't last very long as they're already sold out. Looking at the Best Buy website where the Nintendo Switch and NES Classic Edition can be bought, the company had three variations of the Switch while only one for the NES Classic.

But all of them had been bought already, which is not surprising, considering that these two consoles are currently in very high demand. But it seems like the shortage of stock for the two consoles are likely to continue for a while.

Droid Report said that the current situation with the Nintendo Switch and NES Classic Edition has put Nintendo on "an impending production crisis." Rumors have already been swirling that the company currently has no answer to the stock shortages of the consoles and the increasing demand for them.

It can be noted that the Nintendo Switch and NES Classic Edition gets sold out in a few days, or even in a few hours after Nintendo has restocked them. The report said that the likely reason for this is because either game enthusiast are quickly buying them or online re-sellers are quickly snatching up stocks in order to re-sell them online at a premium price.

The likelihood of re-sellers buying out the Nintendo Switch and NES Classic Edition is high, considering that people who want to purchase these consoles, especially the NES Classic Edition, can only do so through third-party re-sellers. Unfortunately, these consoles are costing almost triple the original price.

Hopefully, Nintendo is able to come up with a solution to address this issue and make the consoles more available to everybody who are looking to purchase them. For those who don't have the NES Classic Edition, check out the review for the console below.
