Rumor has gotten louder that "2 Broke Girls" Season 7 is not going to happen. CBS has given early renewals to 18 of its shows, except for the series and a few others, including veteran shows.

Entertainment Weekly reported that among those that were not given early renewals are "Amazing Race" and "Criminal Minds." However, this does not mean that they are canceled. CBS is planning to announce additional returning series at later date, so loyal viewers are keeping their fingers crossed.

According to Deadline, "2 Broke Girls" has averaged 7.1 million viewers - which is below the comedies renewed. The show holds the record for the biggest off-network sale for 30-minute comedy series. The show is produced by Warner Bros TV - who will definitely fight to bring the show back. The cast of "2 Broke Girls" is yet to comment about the renewal issue.

Season 6 aired episode 20, and it's down to its last two episodes. Ratings for the show have been continually dropping, and some critics say that this is a guaranteed no-renewal. The current standing in ratings for the sitcom is -14.60%, which did not pass the 18-49 demographic ratings, reports say. It has been struggling since Season 5, but CBS gave it a chance to do Season 6, but the numbers continued to drop.

The sitcom started very strong. The very first episode was watched by 19.4 million viewers - the highest rating for a fall premiere since Fall 2001. "2 Broke Girls" is especially popular among college students. The show got nominated for a bunch of awards, too. In 2012, it bagged People's Choice Awards' "Favorite New TV Comedy." But fans clearly think otherwise. The show has been around since 2011, and so fans think that CBS should give the show another shot to do Season 7. "2 Broke Girls" airs Mondays at 9:30 p.m.
