'Xiaomi Mi6' Latest News: Leaked Renders Reveal Dual Camera Setup; To Possibly Release With Three Variants

Xiaomi Mi6 will be released in April with three variants. The latest render leaked about the Chinese flagship is that it has a dual camera setup at the back part.

Xiaomi Mi6 is one among the series of upcoming smartphones that has been subject to speculations, leaks, and theories. The most recent claim about this device came from an alleged leaked render. The image showed a smartphone in a glossy black variant. It appeared to be colored black from front to back. The edges of the device as shown are curved and has a strong resemblance to the Mi Note 2.

In addition, in the front of the smartphone is a Home Button that can be found at the bottom part of the device. The back portion showed a dual-camera setup. The render was posted on the Chinese website Webio and was reported by Playful Droid.

Aside from the leaked render, the Xiaomi Mi6 was also speculated to be released in three variants. The first variant is said to run on Snapdragon 821 SoC. The second variant will run on the same processors but will be released with an edge-to-edge curved display. The third variant reportedly will run on Snapdragon 835 processor and is speculated to be the premium variant of the smartphones.

Meanwhile, there are reports claiming that apart from three variants, Xiaomi Mi6 would sport a 2K OLED display, which is Quad-HD. The standard variant is expected to release with 6GB of RAM and internal storage of 256GB. This same variant was reportedly, what was shown in the latest render, which sports a dual camera set up at the back.

The standard Xiaomi Mi6 variant reportedly will be released on April 16. The variant that will be released with a Snapdragon 821 processor will be available to the public earlier than the standard variant, as some speculations claim, April 11 release. While the premium variant will have to wait for the launching of Samsung Galaxy S8 in April, according to reports, it can be expected to be available on May.
