The manga version of Hiro Mashima's "Fairy Tail" is on its last stretch as it goes with its final arc. The past chapters were full of surprises and interesting facts that will eventually build up on the final chapter of the hit manga series. The latest chapter of the series went live recently which made a huge revelation regarding the true identity of Zeref Dragneel's son with Mavis Vermillion.

Looking back through the previous chapters, anyone can instantly know that something big is going to be disclosed in the next chapter. Chapter 525 titled "Why Did the Emperor Never Love His Child?" showed some scenes featuring the Spriggan 12 member Larcade Dragneel. Zeref shows no affection toward Larcade even though they carried the same last name. Fans and even Larcade thought that because they shared the same name means that they are family.

According to Mobi Picker, the latest chapter titled "My Name Is ..." revealed that Larcade is not Zeref's son and he is an Etherious demon born from the Books of Zeref. The Black Mage himself said that Larcade is only a prototype for Natsu where his body didn't turn out to be strong enough. That explains Zeref's wrath to Larcade when he dared to interrupt the battle between Natsu and Zeref.

Meanwhile, the battle between Gildarts and August escalated with Cana joining into the fray to help her father. August was hugely affected by the father and daughter relationship between the Fairy Tail wizards partly because he himself didn't get much attention from his parents. He was abandoned as a young child because of his massive inherent magical powers.

As the fight goes on, Gildarts and Cana discovered the weakness behind August's nearly unbeatable magic as reported by Droid Report. After the duo unleashed their final attack, a flashback showed August's childhood where he was abandoned. It was revealed that he is the true son of Zeref and Mavis, however, the Black Mage doesn't know this information.
