American citizens will finally be able to screen the anime movie "Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale" as it's scheduled to begin screening on April 22 at U.S. theaters. Aniplex of America has already opened ticket sales for the said anime movie.

According to a report from IGN, the English dub of the anime movie would first premiere at the Anime Boston convention, allowing the people who will attend first screening of the movie. The convention is scheduled on March 31 until April 2.

Anime News Network reports that some theaters list the screening of "Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale" on April 23. The anime film will be distributed by Azoland Pictures.

The anime movie was first screened on March 1, during a premiere event hosted by Aniplex of America in Hollywood, California. The movie had Japanese audio but with English subtitle.

It was then released for one night only in the U.S. on March 9. The movie will premiere in Canada on March 17 until 19.

"Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale" premiered in Japan last February 18 and was the first anime film to rank number 1 in weekend attendance and weekend box office receipt since the hit anime "Your Name." The report said it sold about 308,376 tickets and earned roughly 425,762,760 yen, or about $3.76 million.

IGN said that their review of the movie is a somewhat "satisfying stopgap" for the fans who are waiting for season 3 of the "Sword Art Online" anime series. The movie follows the adventures of Kazuto "Kirito" Kirigaya and Asuna Yuuki while playing the augmented reality game called Ordinal Scale.

The movie that will premiere on April 22 will be an English dub. The anime movie was directed by Tomohiko Itō and was produced by A-1 pictures. Check out the trailer for "Sword Art Online: Ordinal Scale" in the video below.
