Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon) and his team reopen a murder case that was ruled as an accidental death in "NCIS" Season 14 Episode 18. The reopened case also reminds Nick Torres (Wilmer Valderrama) of a haunting past.

According to a report from TV Guide, the title for episode 18 is "M.I.A" and the reopening of the investigation would reveal that the death was not accidental and is, in fact, a murder. Gibbs and his team reopened the case upon the request of a dying sailor.

But Gibbs will not only be the focus of the episode as the reinvestigation has reminded Torres of a traumatic past. CarterMatt reports that the episode will actually be "emotional" and "powerful."

The report adds that Gibbs's story is interesting to watch because he and his team might get to deliver justice to a murder case that was previously ruled as an accidental death. This kind of story also forces officers to think in a different way, considering that they had to look at the case from a different perspective to see the murder.

As for Torres' story, the report said that the biggest draw there would be to see Valderrama perform greatly. The story will also allow fans to get to know more about the character Torres and his background. He is relatively one of the new members of team NCIS, so this episode dives more into who he is.

"NCIS" Season 14 Episode 18 is scheduled every Tuesday on CBS. But CarterMatt said that the airing of episode 18, the show would go on a brief hiatus. The reason, though, for the hiatus wasn't given.

It also didn't mention how long it will be or when the show will return. In the meantime, check out the preview for "NCIS" Season 14 Episode 18 in the video below.
