"Google Pixel" and "Pixel XL" have defective microphones. The search engine giant acknowledged this issue and has recently admitted that at present there is no easy fix since a software update will not resolve the problem.

Owners of the remarkable "Google Pixel" and "Pixel XL" handsets have recently reported that their microphones were not recording audio. In one report, a user said that the mic appeared to be muted when it was already enabled.

Google's Vice President of Product Management, Brian Rakowski explained that the faulty microphones are the product of a hairline like a crack in the adjoined connection on the devices' audio codec. The issue, as confirmed, is a hardware problem underlining that a software run will work. He advised owners of these defective handsets to send it into the company and they will handle the fix to resolve the issue. The VP also noted that this issue only comprised less than one percent of all the Pixel devices in the market today.

Google's devices were created and designed from scratch, reported BGR. Although the devices have a very impressive performance, there are always some issues on hardware and software that would come up as part of its growth. Apart from the microphones, there are other issues that owner have reported. Among these is the display.

Several Pixel users have complained about the sudden freezing of the phone's display screen. In most cases, these issues have been observed to be recurring multiple times within the day. Initially, it was speculated that the freezing screen was caused by the Life360 app. There are however claims that some users experienced this even without using or installing the app.

Meanwhile, other users reported issues with the flare of their lenses. Some thought that the shape of the lens of the device's camera causes the lens flare. Several reported that they have resolved this issue by using some software although it was resolved only to a minimal extent.
