The "Mass Effect: Andromeda" multiplayer DLC will be available for free, which would make gamers who are itching to play the game in multiplayer mode overjoyed. The free multiplayer map in this game will be similar to "Mass Effect 3," where players have the option to purchase weapons and upgrades.

According to a report from WWG, the informal announcement came from BioWare General Manager Aaryn Flynn. The announcement came on Twitter when Flynn was responding to a question regarding the multiplayer content of the game.

Flynn said that multiplayer map of "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is "going to be just like ME3," which is a reference to the multiplayer content of "Mass Effect 3." The producer for the game, Fernando Melo, added that the multiplayer missions of the game will actually be helpful to the players.

He said that the missions can actually help players along in their single player campaign. Melo said that the game has a feature where the multiplayer missions and the single player missions can be linked together and gamers will be getting rewards on both.

GameRant reports that in "Mass Effect 3" the multiplayer map is free but it allows players the option to purchase armor and weapons upgrades.

Players who take advantage of this option gives them an edge over the other competitors. The report also said that the way BioWare made the announcement about the multiplayer component of the game shows the developer's strategy in "continually teasing small details about the game on Twitter. And the good thing about this strategy is that developers seem to be enjoying in keeping enthusiasm about the video game.

Fans, though, will still have to wait about two weeks as the game will be available on March 21 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Check out the "Mass Effect: Andromeda's" gameplay trailer in the video below.
