"Mass Effect: Andromeda" wants the players to fully enjoy the exploration part of the game, giving them 100 planets to discover in the game's universe. However, not all planets can be explored, as only a handful of them can be landed on.

According to a report from GameRant, BioWare released a video that highlighted the exploration part of the game and mentioned the number of planets that can be discovered. Though the number of planets gamers can discover can't compare to the vast space that "No Man's Sky" provides, the developer made it up with quality.

Only a handful of planets allows the players to land and explore, but these planets will not be dull as, they will be filled with unique characters, challenges, and interesting stories for gamers to explore. And this is something that will be appreciated a lot.

The report said that a lot of developers right now are keen on providing massive and expansive worlds to explore for gamers but with little else to do. BioWare, on the other hand, has been focusing on keeping each of the gamers' "experience unique and entertaining."

Polygon reports that one of the Planets that players can explore in "Mass Effect: Andromeda" is called Elaaden. This planet is being inhabited by the Korgan, but the harsh desert of this planet makes it even hard for their kind to survive.

The report adds that what happens on Elaaden depends on the gamer's actions, which shows how open the planets are. Certain actions could lead to the planet being a vital location for the Nexus Space Station.

As for the planets that can't be explored, GameRant said that BioWare is hinting the return of the planet scanning capabilities that were first introduced in "Mass Effect 2." This capability will help players scan planets for resources, a good way for gamers to interact with planets that can't be explored. Check out the latest gameplay video for "Mass Effect: Andromeda."
