The most awaited fan-favorite hoop series will be launched on consoles such as Xbox One, PS4, and the recently released Nintendo Switch with the exact release date window still unannounced. Here is the most probable release date from predictions we have gathered.

Early in January this year, 2K Games has officially announced that the upcoming game "NBA 2K18" will be made available for the Nintendo Switch. The game will be the first title in the franchise to be on a Nintendo console after NBA 2K13 was released on Wii and Wii U last 2012. Jason Argent, SVP of Basketball Operations for NBA 2K in a prepared statement said that "NBA 2K18's" presence on Nintendo Switch is a natural development as they strive to grow audience and welcome more fans to the game.

It can be noted that in 2016, "NBA 2K17" had an official release date of Sept. 20. Those who pre-ordered, however, were able to play it earlier on Sept.16. Aside from the game's early access for pre-orders, the game was hyped up by its pre-release accompanying game, The Prelude. It was launched on Sept. 9, a week before the early access date and two weeks prior to the release date.

If 2K Games will follow the release date of its previous game, then fans have more time to learn about the upcoming "NBA 2K18." In addition, basing on last year's schedule, the game's Early-Tip Off edition would most likely be released on a Friday, possibly on Sept. 15. Moreover, the official release date of the game would most probably fall on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, says MIC.

Most sports video games are released during the month of September. Traditionally, games like "FIFA," "Pro Evolution Soccer," and "NHL" hit the shelves on the said month. "NBA 2K18" would most likely have the same release window.
