Fans have been eagerly awaiting any updates about "Rick and Morty" Season 3, so everyone was excited about the news of a preview of the opening scene of season 3, only to find out that it was just a brilliantly executed joke. Something that is typical of the series itself.

Andrew McMahon of The Nerd Stash said that he despised creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland for what they posted. But he adds that the exclusive preview was also "nothing short of brilliant."

The opening scene that was previewed is actually just some scenes from the season 1 and 2, and possibly, some scenes from season 3. The scenes were edited together in a way that it would sing Rick Astley's "Never Gonna Give You Up."

McMahon said that this "trolling" from Harmon and his team shows the goofball side of the crew. They know they have been delayed in releasing season 3, so they responded in a "Rick and Morty" way, they "poke fun at themselves."

Screen Rant's James Roberts adds that the scene also served as a "hilarious reminder" for everyone of what had already come from the series. This kind of joke and humor is what people would expect to come from the series and its creators. It shows that the series is not afraid to prank its fans for the sake of a good joke.

This is also a great response from the creators, with regards to questions about when season 3 will come out. Because it shows how they take their time to craft the best episodes could before they release it.

Roberts said it would be nice to finally have new episodes of "Rick and Morty" Season 3. But it's even better if the episodes that will come out would provide the kind of quality that fans have already come to expect from the hit series. Check out the hilarious supposed opening scene of season 3 and have a good laugh.
