Hong Kong is not only a place to be for shopping. It is also an ideal location for fine-dining. This region is home to the best Cantonese dishes one can find outside mainland China. Anyone who has several extra funds to spend, as well as a basic working knowledge of the local dialect, ought to visit the following Hong Kong restaurants in Kowloon peninsula.

Yah Toh Heen

Among the compelling reasons to visit this restaurant includes the prestigious two Michelin Stars it garnered. Anyone who wishes to feast on Yah Toh Heen's finest luxury Chinese food ought to make reservations. This restaurant is located at Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. It is open between 12:00 to 2:00 PM by lunch, and between 6:00 to 11:00 PM by dinner.

Tim Ho Wan

If one fancies the same Michelin Star value at a much cheaper price, Tim Ho Wan is among the best of all Hong Kong restaurants. Unfortunately, walk-in customers would often have to wait in line for over 3 hours just to secure a table. Located at 9-11 Fuk Wing Street, Sham Shui Po, this restaurant is open 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM.

Felix At Peninsula Hotel

Another luxury hotel worth visiting is The Peninsula. Apart from being one of the most renowned first class accommodations worldwide, its first-floor restaurant also serves the best Cantonese dishes along with French-influenced recipe courtesy of its star Japanese chef (Yoshiharu Kaji). Felix At Peninsula is open from 6:00 PM to 10:30 PM, located at Salisbury Road, Tsim Sha Tsui.

Tin Lung Heen

Anyone who wishes to dine at the highest point of Hong Kong might need to visit Victoria Peak. However, within the concrete jungle of Kowloon alone, one of the best choices for Chinese food is on the 102nd floor of the Ritz-Carlton Hotel - located at the International Commerce Center in 1 Austin Road West. This fine-dining restaurant is open from 12:00 to 2:30 PM at lunch and 6:00 to 10:30 PM for dinner.

Nanhai No. 1

If a hundred floors are too steep, perhaps 30 floors will do. The top floor of the iSquare shopping mall at 63 Nathan Road still offers sweeping views to flare up the taste buds for Chinese food. This restaurant is open from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM for lunch and 6:00 to 10:30 PM for dinner.
