Actor Ashton Kutcher gave a very powerful and emotional speech during a Senate Foreign Relations Committee hearing on Wednesday in Washington. The comedian became emotional as he spoke about all of the horrific things he has seen being done to children all over the world.

Kutcher is the founder of Thorn, an organization that fights the sexual abuse and exploitation of children by building software, with ex-wife Demi Moore. The actor is a father of two children with wife Mila Kunis, so it is easy to see why he became very emotional while discussing the need to end child abuse and exploitation once and for all.

According to a report by The Independent, the "Dude Where's My Car?" star's organization has identified more than 2000 child victims of trafficking within the last six months. Overall, the software tool has identified 6,000 victims of child slavery in the last six months, the actor revealed.

The actor was not able to hold in his emotions during his speech. "As part of my anti-trafficking work, I've met victims in Russia, I've met victims in India. I've met victims that have been trafficked from Mexico, victims from New York and New Jersey, and all across our country. I've been on FBI raids where I've seen things that no person should see", Kutcher said in his speech.

Kutcher also spoke about a video he saw showing an American tourist in Cambodia sexually molesting a 2-year old child. He described how the child in the video had become so conditioned by her environment that she thought what the man was doing to her was just a form of play.

He also mentioned how he and his team had recently gotten a call from the Department of Homeland Security who were asking for their help in locating a 7-year old girl after footage of her being sexually abused had circulated around the deep web.

"We were the last line of defence. An actor and his foundation were the potential last line of defence. That's my day job and I'm sticking to it", said Kutcher.
