"The Crown" has added exciting new casts for Season 2. "Dexter" actor Michael C. Hall will star as John F. Kennedy, while first lady Jacqueline Kennedy's role will go to South African actress Jodi Balfour.

According to E! News, in the upcoming season, Claire Foy's Queen Elizabeth II will cavort with the late American President and his wife. JFK is described as a man who doesn't like to be upstaged by his wife. He feels shadowed by Jackie's popularity, and he seeks public vengeance by making his many infidelities known. But behind closed doors, he shows his jealousy by anger and manipulation.

Radio Times said that "The Crown" Season 2 will kick off in Egypt with the Suez Canal Crisis, and it will take fans through Prime Minister Harold Macmillan's downfall. Hall is a pretty big addition to the series. The actor, who was praised for his take on David Bowie in musical "Lazarus," will also play Nixon White House counsel John Dean in "Felt," the Peter Landesman-directed film about Mark Felt.

Season 2 is currently in production, and it will show that "tricky" and "sensitive" state visit of 1961. What made the visit tense is that Jackie wanted her sister and divorced Princess Lee Radziwell to also attend the state visit, even though divorces are frowned upon. Princess Lee Radziwell was eventually allowed to attend, despite reports saying that the Queen was absolutely furious at the time but she eventually relented.

The appearance of the Kennedys should only strengthen the show's appeal, and the charismatic duo is expected to add a touch of American flair and glamor to "The Crown." It has been previously reported that Matthew Goode is also joining Season 2, and he is going to be Princess Margaret's photographer husband Tony Armstrong-Jones. "The Crown" Season 2 is yet to announced a premiere date.
