"Fifty Shades Darker" is now showing in countless cinemas in the US. The most-anticipated sequel of "Fifty Shades of Grey" is finally out. What is the verdict? Has the film impressed the critics?

The most talked-about movie in social media has failed to impress. For one, entertainment editor Richard Wilkins of News was not impressed a bit. He said that the movie is corny and funny.

According to him, the movie is nothing but a "glorification of domestic violence." It has no spiritual or moral value as it gives importance to abusive and pervert relationships. He praised "Bold and the Beautiful" over the film inspired by E.L. James' erotic novel.

The movie follows the love story of the billionaire Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) who is haunted by his dark past and the young and innocent Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson). The movie is positively a Valentine's Day movie to watch because of the raunchy scenes. But the plot is bland and non-existent.

There seems to be no connection between a good woman falling in love with an unlovable man with too much perversion. In the original movie, Steele left Grey after being severely abused. However, in the "Fifty Shades Darker" she consented when he asked her to rekindle their traumatic and lustful romance.

The movie focused on the revived relationship making the audience believe that love is lovelier the second time around. For the questionable plot yes, but in real life, only a woman with questionable mind will allow herself to be battered and abused in the guise of love.

James Foley's movie is beautifully made except for the lacking plot. There is one thing that is clearly conveyed in the movie - the degradation of women. Jamie Dornan's character finds pleasure in inflicting pain to a woman. It tells that it is alright to hurt her as long as she finds it acceptable. Later on, Johnson's character becomes questionable as she ultimately enjoys being in pain.

The movie is a promotion of lust and indecency. Who is the man in his sound mind who would ask his partner to pull off her underwear in public? Where is the decency of a man who would give pleasure to his partner in a crowded lift? Empire reported that the couple cannot even wait to get out of the eleator before starting out. It is a clear manifestation of lack of decency and self-control.

The movie should be banned from the teenagers and those with high-moral standards. Even married couples will find it abhoring as lust is mistaken for love. "Fifty Shades Darker," according to reviews, is not an impressive film.
