After her recent and all-out performance at the Super Bowl 51 Halftime show, Lady Gaga is set to perform a duet with the hard rocker Metallica on the Recording Academy's 59th annual awards presentation on Sunday. Gaga will be joining a famous line-up of performers like Katy Perry, Kelsea Ballerini, John Legend, Carrie Underwood, Bruno Mars, Kieth Urban, Adele, and Beyoncé.

This recent news was revealed last Monday night on Twitter after a Gaga fan posted a video which claimed to show a leaked commercial for the planned collaboration of these two performers. Apparently, Gaga already took the stage last year in the Grammys alongside "Let's Dance" producer Nile Rogers for a tribute to the late David Bowie. She performed the covers of "Space Oddity" and "Heroes" among other Bowie Hits and worn costumes which were inspired by the late pop star, Entertainment Weekly reported.

On the other hand, Metallica was also recently forced to postpone the show in Copenhagen due to his vocal issues which affect James Hetfield. However, it was on January 14 when the metal icons teased something about a very unique and special announcement that is in store for him on the Grammys stage. Metallica said that it has been three years since he was lucky enough to be able to participate in the awards show when he last performed in the world's renowned Chinese concert pianist Lang Lang and he is definitely thrilled to be back to such event, Billboard reported.

Further, aside from Gaga and Metallica, country pop singer Lukas Graham will also make his debut performance on the Grammys stage. Andra Day and Tori Kelly will also join forces with the "Little Big Town" for a special collaborative performance in celebration of the music of Bee Gees. James Corden will be hosting the 59th Grammy Awards ceremony which will air on Sunday, February 12, 8 p.m. ET on CBS.
