Five Affordable Places To Visit In Europe

Sticking on a budget doesn't mean sacrificing the quality of your European trip. Sometimes the less you spend, the less insulated you are from experiencing the local culture. Here are five affordable places that you can visit in Europe:

Cote'd'Azur is about 90 minutes from Paris and is composed of the cities of St. Tropez, Nice and Cannes, reports Travel + Leisure. It has clear water, white, sandy beaches, hidden coves and cliffs. Nice is the gateway to the Riviera which is home to the coast's main airport. Start your trip in Nice's Old Town and check into the Hôtel Villa la Tour which used to be a convent.

A two-hour train ride from Paddington Station or a two-hour drive from central London are the rolling farmland and country villages of the Cotswolds. Weekenders who want an accessible rural getaway are attracted to the combination of boutiques, unusual cottages, and exquisite restaurants in Cotswolds.

It is no longer surprising that Berlin has become the cultural capital of central Europe. It continues to attract knowledgeable travelers and creative types. This is because of its mix of restaurant scenes, art galleries, modern architecture and its added cold-war mystique, all resulting to a certain urbane east-meets-west restlessness.

Secluded on a side street just a block from Piazza Navona In the center of Rome is the accommodating and cozy Hotel Navona. This is where the poet Shelley used to stay. It is now owned by the Natales family. If it's fully booked, you can check in at the more elegant Residence Zanardelli annex in a Liberty-style Art Nouveau building nearby. The residence is also owned by the Natales family.

A short walk from the Tate Modern and Shakespeare's Globe is Premier Inn Southwark. It is part of Londons' most reliable motel chain that has 18 locations. The hotel offers standard comfort and is well located. It is also connected to the historic Anchor Bankside pub, where guests can enjoy a view of the Thames over a sumptuous English breakfast.
