The celebratory announcement has been tweeted and shared across social media outlets. This allows players to look forward to the official release date even more now that everything should be final.

As reported at VG24/7, the team behind the development of the vast open-world game for the PS4 made a couple of announcements online regarding the projects gold status. The staff shared photos, the traditional "first disc/copy" and a themed PS4 controller along. The game was the second original IP since the other series "Killzone," which was equally as high-regarding in the PlayStation gaming scene.

The official and final release date for "Horizon: Zero Dawn" is set at the end of February and fans. in fact, pre-order the game through online stores like Amazon. The game is available for a full retail price of $59.99, but what it will offer might be more than its asking price due to tons of things to do, places to explore and quests to clear.

Based from Polygon's "pre-review," "Horizon: Zero Dawn" is definitely a departure from the "Killzone" series, but not just from the genre, but from the presentation, which is all set in a beautiful and vibrant world, though still nearly plagued by mechanical beasts.

The first few hours of "Horizon: Zero Dawn" introduces the players to the main protagonist, Aloy, and her backstory. This covers her unknown biological parents, being part of the outcasts and the mystery behind how the world was overrun by mechanical beasts.

Aside from all the essential RPG elements like collecting various parts, "Horizon: Zero Dawn" exceptionally incorporates the freedom and flexibility during combats. Players would be able to choose between heading straight-on, releasing a flurry of arrows or in some cases, stealthily for easier kills and less trouble. Either way, the game appeared fun and engaging that the folks from Polygon have high hopes for the game to match famous titles like "The Witcher" and even "The Elder Scrolls."
