"Homeland"Season 6 episode titled "The Covenant" is one of the series' best yet, many agree. The episode featured a deepening conflict that will probably shape Season 6. Still, some others say that not much is happening in the plot.

The episode was written by Ron Nyswaner and directed by Lesli Linka Glatter, and viewers found that the characters do what they do best, Variety said. It also lays the foundation of a renewed suspicion F. Murray Abraham's CIA operations director Dar Adal, and it also made people feel like President-elect Elizabeth Keane's (Elizabeth Marvel) affection for Carrie (Claire Danes) is somewhat more than professional.

This season is driving everyone to paranoia, Entertainment Weekly reported. Quinn (Rupert Friend) is obsessed with probably everything that he sees or hears, and he suspects someone is watching Carries apartment from across the street. Saul (Mandy Patinkin), who is in Abu Dhabi on his new assignment, is always hearing gunshots. Saul is always looking over his shoulder as he starts his latest operation.

Also, this "Homeland" episode had thought provoking scenes, especially the one between Saul and his "crazy sister" who is a resident of the Israeli settlement in the West Bank. Her sister refused to leave the place where she says was promised to the Jews via a covenant with God.  "Doesn't that strike you as a form of insanity," Saul asked his sister.  "How can you live knowing that your very presence here makes peace less possible?"

Now, fans are wondering when Carrie and Quinn will figure out a way to get back to Saul and Dar (F. Murray Abraham). Saul thinks that the Iranians could be making nuclear weapons with the North Koreans, even after negotiating with the U.S. not to. But he is not fully convinced of the evidence, but still, Dar went on to tell President-elect Keane that Saul was able to find "conclusive" evidence, and he recommended immediate sanctions from the U.S. institute on Iran for violating the nuclear deal

But Keane presented all this to Carrie, who tells her that she should double check Saul's report and not just take Dar's word at face value. Claire also advised Keane to reach out to the current president.
