The WWE "Royal Rumble 2017" was finally back after RAW and Smackdown parted ways. Here are some of the important events that took place in the one of WWE's biggest PPV in its 30th run in the entertainment company's history.

In a close and updated report from The Sun, the " WWE Royal Rumble 2017" event have closed its curtains and though the final match between 30 thirsty contenders for the championship were explosive, the rest felt a bit of a bloated filler.

However, not all are just mere fillers as some matches made some interesting impact to certain storylines as well as some interesting takes to future plots. The first thing that comes to mind after the actual Royal Rumble match was John Cena's triumph over AJ Styles.

Cena puts an end to Styles' phenomenal run as he nabs the WWE Championship title and at the same time as reported by Gamespot, beats Rick Flair's record of obtaining the title for its 16th time. Now people and fans talk about how Cena plans to defend the title with the upcoming event "Road to Wrestlemania" at an Elimination Chamber match or possibly a straight up one-on-one match with the Royal Rumble winner, Randy Orton.

Another notable match was the Universal Title one between Kevin Owens and Roman Reigns. Among all the matches, the two showcased some of the best and most fantastic moves to the extremes. However, what made the match even more interesting was Braun Strowman's appearance, which shifted the attention to a potential matchup between him and Reigns in the next PPV.

Finally, there's the fans' mixed emotions with the actual Royal Rumble match, which showcased a significant amount of nut job performances from those who are new and have been competing for years as indicated by Cage Side Seats. Ultimately, this paved way for the 23rd entrant, Randy Orton, to win the hour-long match between 30 individuals and gets a guaranteed spot at the title on Road to Wrestlemania.
