The 'flamboyant' chef, Nusret Gökçe, who took the internet by storm, would like to be the world's best butcher and he's going to conquer the global food scene with the expansion of his meat restaurant. In fact, London and New York would see him coming over in the next few months for his new chain.

For now, Salt Bae has five chains of the Nusr-Et Steakhouse and two burger houses which can be found in Turkey and Dubai as of the moment. According to Hürriyet Daily News, Salt Bae can only speak in Turkish, but can "communicate with people through meat."

Gökçe rose to fame when the internet went crazy for his Instagram video of him cutting and salting the meat fabulously with "love." The way he salted the meat in the video was all automatic and was not meant to show off or anything, he said.

"I did not do that to show off. It is just my signature. You can think of it a kind of final touch for a painting. It was a final touch to the meat; I was blessing the meat." Perhaps "telling stories and drawing people's attention" was the one that led him to his fame.

Gökçe mentioned that he did not work with any publicity team, but rather, it was his staff that took photos and videos of him. He also told Hürriyet Daily News a little something about himself and his history with meat.

"People see me as uncouth. I am the son of a mine worker. My father and mother do not know literacy. I cannot go to school due to financial difficulties. I started to working at a butcher as an apprentice when I was 14. Meat has become a passion for me," he said.
