You can enjoy Africa without leaving the U.S. In Florida, there are varieties of destinations that will take you closer to experience Africa.

In Discovery Cove, there is the fan-favorite Busch Gardens, which is about an hour drive from Orlando. Part safari park and part theme park, it is full of animal themed rides and experiences. Serengeti Safari Tour is a good starting point traveling the park with a guide on an open-topped truck. There are rhino, zebra and some extremely rare antelopes, but the highlight was definitely the giraffes, which wandered up to the truck while visitors fed them.

In addition, Busch Gardens also has its fair share of roller coasters and rides and the crowd favorite is Cobra's Curse, a new family-friendly spin-coaster. There is also an Egyptian themed section park. In there, a gigantic yellow stone serpent's head packed with blue fangs hovers over the ride. Visitors are fixed into a cart before being turned 70ft into the air, bringing them face-to-face with the gigantic snake, truly an enjoyable Africa experience from Discovery Cove.

Aside from the Busch Gardens, Discovery Cove also offers the Aquatica. It is a mammoth water park with an amusing tropical theme. It is an insurgence of primary colored rides and torrents interspersed with restaurants, beaches, rapids and remarkable swimming bays, with great wave machines that kept the children amused for hours. The rides differ from the moderately sedate to heart-in-mouth nose-dives.

You can try Ihu's Breakaway Falls in Discovery Cove, however, this heart-stopping ride is not for those with a weak heart. There is also the Mako, a hypercoaster, which means it includes a drop of more than 200ft (61m). The ride began the sluggish climb that would take you to the first drop and as it went over the top, it plunged on the way to the ground, reaching an amazing 70mph, reported Express.

You can avail of the Discovery Cove Ultimate Ticket for approximately $228. This covers one day at Discovery Cove, 14 days unlimited entry to SeaWorld, Busch Gardens, and Aquatica and free parking.
