Head of Gearbox Software, Randy Pitchford, is a famous figure in the video game scene for the wrong reasons. He got his fair share of online bashing with "Aliens: Colonial Marines," but he seemed to be not getting enough of the virtual beating as he's at it again with "Battleborn," using pornography, that later backfires horrendously.

In a report from PCGamesN, the CEO of the company who produced "Borderlands" just tweeted something regarding a subreddit for "Battleborn" characters, which are portrayed in pornographic style. Fans and haters alike took the bait and Pitchford got the attention of many, but things didn't go well as planned. He ended up getting insulted more and the game got no less than the same treatment.

For the fans, the word "Battleporn" and the entire tweet itself was an attempt to get attention for the almost dead game. The "Rule 34" thing have also triggered some who have caught up with the tweet, who also deems the move an unwarranted way of drawing in the wrong type of attention.

According to Crave Online's report, an expected consequence took place when the subreddit was flooded with pretty much all forms of insult to the under appreciated game "Battleborn" and stuffed with "Overwatch is better" posts.

The subreddit, which actually contained posts that Pitchford have claimed to have, is now filled with more unrelated posts, making both the subreddit and his Twitter feed a place for all sorts of insult for the game and the CEO himself.

Pitchford didn't have a lot going on for the game and is now being hardly accused of pulling off a stunt that the "Overwatch" porn have successfully managed to dish out with its popularity in sites like Pornhub. However, things didn't go as planned, but in the end, the game and the CEO got the attention, but in an ill-mannered way.
