Those who have always liked watching "Dragon Ball," but not to fond of the original Japanese language and English subs are in for a treat as Toonami's English dub of "Dragon Ball Super" have officially premiered and its ratings are high as expected from the former anime, Toonami aired in the 90s'.

According to a recent report from Comicbook, long-time fans of the anime series "Dragon Ball Super" have finally been treated for the English dub premiere. Working along with Funimation, Toonami delivered the first English dub of the first episode.

The ratings, as expected, was impressive as the first episode of "Dragon Ball Super" with English dub managed to have 1.12 million viewers hooked to their TVs. The succeeding episodes are to be released every Saturday.

The dubbing was delivered by mostly the same cast from the earlier installments of the anime universe. Sean Schemmel still gave life to Goku's lively voice, while Kara Edwards took care of Goten and Videl's personalities. Actors like Alexis Tipton, Chris Rager and Mike McFarland are still present to portray Hercule and Master Roshi.

Toonami News tweeted the initial ratings via @TvbytheNumbers and "Dragon Ball Super" gets a 0.4 rating on its first episode with the English dub. This was on par with the on-going cartoon "American Dad" and even close enough to "Dragon Ball Z Kai / Final" that aired later at 12:00 am

The show will follow the same exact episodes as the Japanese release and will start off with the first saga called "God of Destruction Beerus." This particular arc is based from the move "Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods."

As usual, the current "Dragon Ball Super" story arc still broadcasts every Saturdays at 7:15 p.m CST on Crunchyroll, while the English dub on Adult swim will be scheduled at 11:30 p.m ET. The current arc for the Japanese air is currently headed to the "Universal Survival" saga.
