Samsung recently announced its QLED 4K lineup at CES, and they promise "perfect color." The company's new flagship, Q9 and Q8 TV, offer advanced generation of Quantum Dot technology.

Quantum dot light emitting diodes (QLED) TV sets use quantum dots, or microscopic molecules that, when hit by light, emit their own coloured light.  QLED TVs feature a peak luminance of 1,500 and 2,000 nits.  Aside from boasting impressive build quality, Quantum Dot TVs have greatly improved viewing angles as well, Forbes reported.  Also, while LED TVs usually have banding and haloing problems, the QLED TVs seem to have none of these issues.

According to Engadget, Samsung's QLED sets can display 99 percent of the DCI-P3 color space, and they can also show off full-color volume, regardless of their brightness.  "With the advent of QLED TV, we provide the most true-to-life picture on screen," HyunSuk Kim, president of the visual display business at Samsung Electronics said in a press release.

Samsung also made sure that the TVs set up is unique. They introduced a single clear optical cable solution for a clutter less design. The overall profile of HDTVs is cut down by putting the mounting system inside, or "Invisible Connection." The power cables are pretty thin, they can be hung from the wall.  Also, consumers may get a wireless kit that they can add to existing sound bars. These, too, can work wirelessly with Samsung's new HDTVs.

QLED sets can be mounted on the wall seamlessly with a mount that's also fairly thin, it can easily tilt to TVs in different angles. It also automatically adjusts the TV to sit perfectly straight. Samsung discovered that 82 percent of HDTV owners want to wall mount their TV sets but only 32 percent actually only do so because they find the task daunting.
