The 50-year old pop star Janet Jackson welcomes a baby boy into their family. The singer, songwriter and dancer greet 2017 with a huge blessing and she finally has her first child.

Back in 2012, she was married to Qatari business magnate Wissam Al Mana. She was previously married to dancer, songwriter and music video director Rene Elizondo Jr. up until the year 2000.

Jackson was always quiet about her personal life and especially about her pregnancy. According to an E! Online article, news of her pregnancy only reached media attention when she put a halt to her world tour as the couple were planning their family.

Her pregnancy was officially confirmed in October of 2016, but reports mention her to have bad morning sickness. Later on November, she insisted that she was doing well and that she was staying healthy for her baby.

A child was something the singer prayed for a long time, and she was getting enough rest and support for the pregnancy. When her condition was more stable, she started thinking of baby names.

Jermaine Jackson who is her older brother also commented on how she would be a perferct mother to her son. "She'll be a great mother because she is very tough, very strict," as Jermaine mentions about her character.

Mirror Online mentioned that the couple finally welcomed the baby boy into the world on Tuesday, January 3. The baby boy was named Eissa Al Mana, who was given an Islam name in accordance to Wissam's religion.

A statement was given with regards to Jackson's health stating that she had a stress free delivery and is resting comfortably. This was due to certain concerns with the risks of complications on her pregnancy.

The family is now opening the year with a wonderful start with the arrival of Eissa. The new baby is new territory for both Wissam and Jackson as it is the first baby for both of them.
