2017 will be a great year for gamers. New game and console releases are currently on their way, and one of the most anticipated releases is Microsoft's Xbox 2 Scorpio.

This gaming console would be a game-changer for Xbox users. It was first revealed at Microsoft's E3 2016 keynote session, and although developers didn't give exactly much away about their new product, rumors tell us that it's going to be really powerful, a surefire rival of the PlayStation 4 Pro.

No exact release date was given yet, no retail price revealed, and specific specs and features are yet to be announced by Microsoft themselves. Because of this, the gaming community is under an entanglement of different rumors about the actual features Xbox Scorpio really contains.

But how to tell facts from fallacy? Thankfully, this list would provide you with some real Xbox Scorpio features users should expect in their upcoming release this 2017.

Actual Console Price. The rumored price for this new Xbox console ranges from thousands of dollars to a couple of hundreds. But Microsoft's Phil Spencer said that the price range will be along the console price point, but it will surely be a little higher than the price of the Xbox One S, which is £250.

"It will cost more than S, obviously, that's how we are building it," Spencer said. "We have not announced the pricing yet, but I want to make sure that the investment we are putting into the product of Scorpio meets the demands of the higher-end consumer and that will be a higher price."

VR Compatibality. Microsoft will integrate virtual reality on the Scorpio very seriously. They already have a partnership with Rift headsets that allows players to play games in a whole new other level with Xbox One. With Scorpio, it's said to be a lot better, now that Microsoft is working with Oculus.

Scorpio versus PS4 Pro. Apparently, Project Scorpio would be more powerful than PS4 Pro. Although no actual details are released yet to support this, tech experts explained that Microsoft is currently working very hard to surpass PS4's current stats and features. Because of this, users should expect a hefty price tag.

Cmpatibility With Xbox One. Current Xbox One controllers and digital content will be compatible with Project Scorpio, but don't expect some Scorpio games to run in Xbox One. According to alphr, "As Project Scorpio is both VR- and 4K-ready, there will be games being made specifically for Scorpio. "

"Microsoft hopes that, with full Windows 10 integration, those VR games will just be PC titles, and 4K games will be souped-up "standard" Xbox One releases. But it'd be impossible to believe that some developers aren't jumping aboard just to develop an Xbox Scorpio VR title."
