MTV also confirmed Valerie's death. She appeared on the network's "16 and Pregnant" Season Two aired from 2009-2010. In MTV website, they wrote:

The initial investigation is being conducted by the town's coroner office. They are doing toxicology test to know the actual cause of death. However, Valerie Fairman's mom has hinted that it might be an overdose. Her ex-boyfriend, David Pryce, also implied that it might have been a cause of drug-related abuse. In a report from Mirror, Pryce said: "...I want to tell anyone selling s**t to people to stop."

Drug abuse has been an on-going issue for a long time. Even children of big celebrities have been affected by this problem as reported by Travellers Today.
