Cartoon Network's "Power Puff Girls" found its new home at Hulu after the station secured exclusive streaming rights to air the show. Aside from its original series, the famous girl-combat cartoon program is also said to have its second season already on the roll.

With their multiyear contract, Hulu will be including both the initial and reboot content of "Power Puff Girls" which aired in CN earlier this year, as reported in Variety. The classic version of "PPG" contains 6 seasons (78 episodes) which ran from 1998-2005.

"Power Puff Girls", created by Craig McCracken, was among the most popular cartoon series of CN. The story of three little powerful girls Blossom (pink), Bubbles (blue) and Buttercup (green) revolves around saving their beloved Townsville from evil creatures while having their normal school life.

The said program bagged two Emmy Awards and five more nominations together with other animation honors for its original series, added Variety. The new "PPG" is also reportedly renewed for a "second season" by Cartoon Network with its first season episodes to be made available in Hulu in 2017.

The Hulu already launched a collection of special and fan-favorite episodes of "Power Puff Girls" from its classic version which includes an episode titled "Best Friends Forever," along with other special segments, added Variety.

The new version of the "PPG" is currently produced by CN Studios with "Spongebob: Squarepants" and "Adventure Time's" creator Nick Jennings as its executive producer. Bob Boyle who made "Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!" will be serving as the co-executive producer of the show. The "Power Puff Girls" can be streamed at Hulu's official website, with new episodes coming on January 2017.

Meanwhile, aside from "PPG," Hulu also bid a contract to air programs aimed at children which includes "Doc McStuffins," "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles," "Curious George" and "Gravity Falls." The said network will also be airing other Cartoon Network programs under an existing contract with Turner Broadcasting. These include "The Amazing World of Gumball," "Steven Universe," "Adventure Time" and "Regular Show," added the source.
