Many viewers may get hooked to "Blindspot" but it appears like the number of viewers is not enough to keep the show on air. Although fans of the show are still looking forward to Season 2 Episode 10, there are talks that there will no longer be season 3.

The show is currently on hiatus after its midseason finale on Nov. 16 with its ninth episode. But its ratings continually decreased.

Although "Blindspot" premiered with very high numbers, it slowly declined as the season progressed. From the first season, its ratings dropped wherein it got a 1.08 rating for its midseason finale, "Why Let Cooler Pasture Deform." The rating of the show as per TV Series Finale indicates that it has a slim chance of staying on air.

Its average season ratings are only at 1.22 with 5.596 million viewers. To compare, the first season averaged a 1.83 rating with 6.92 million viewers. The decline is indeed undeniable which is lower than the ratings of “The Mysteries of Laura,” the show it replaced.

Meanwhile, other reports are saying that Jaimie Alexander who plays Jane Doe will exit the show. Her alleged departure will no doubt affect the show, especially that fans believe that it'll never be the same without Alexander. Some reports are saying that Alexander is planning to leave the series after she finishes filming for "Blindspot" Season 2 since she is already committed to Marvel Cinematic Universe films. With that, it could be canceled since Alexander can no longer play the role.

“Blindspot” Season 2 will return on Jan. 4 at 8 pm EST. According to TV Line, Kurt Weller, played by Sullivan Stapleton, one of the operatives working with Jane Doe, has been pretending to be a nice person.

A rift might occur between Jane and her brother Roman (Luke Mitchell) once he learns that Jane injected him with ZIP to erase his memory. Jane and Kurt need to recover the memory of Roman in order to stop Sandstorm.
