Do you want to go somewhere with scenic views and happy people?  2016's World Happiness Report will tell just where to go.

World Happiness Report is a survey on the state of global happiness. It first went out in 2012, and it ranks 156 countries by their happiness levels.

The United Nations measures the quality of life for each nation's citizens through surveys and data analysis. Since 2012, the same 13 countries dominate the top list.  What is also notable is that most of the countries that made at the top of the list are from Europe.

John Helliwell, a contributing author of the report, said that the countries in the top 10 "rank high in public trust and generosity." Helliwell added that "the people are friendly, they are likely to give good customer service, and from my personal experience, they are wonderful places to travel."

Denmark tops the list of the happiest country in the world. Citizens have access to free public services such as health care and education, and it prides itself on its strong sense of social life and community. Switzerland is not far behind. This country has the lowest obesity rates in the entire continent.

A lot maybe surprised that Iceland actually made it to top 3, considering the 2008 economic recession that it experienced. Next on the list is Norway, one of the best countries in the world, National Geographic said.  The country boasts of gorgeous landscapes and vast outdoor spaces.

Finland is top 5. The country also has one the highest knowledge base in the world with a 100 percent literacy rate. Completing the top 10 list are Canada, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Australia, and Sweden.

"The countries in the top 10 rank high in public trust and generosity.  The people are friendly, they are likely to give good customer service, and from my personal experience, they are wonderful places to travel," Helliwell concluded.
