After quite some time, Apple has recently released the biggest update to iOS 10 yet, featuring new emoji and extra features in iMessage. The company on Monday finally launched iOS 10.2 to an eager public. The latest update, which fixes a number of bugs in iOS 10, can be activated in the iPhone's settings. Go to General and Software Update to find it.

The update is available for anyone running iOS 10 and includes exciting features. So, what's new? First, there are over 100 new emoji to the iOS keyboard. Among the highlights are a facepalm, a shruggie, "rolling on the floor laughing", and a selfie symbol. Although these new emoji are now on iPhones with iOS 10, it won't be visible to Android users and to their mobile Facebook and Twitter feeds. The emoji have also been redesigned to look a little sharper and more detailed.

Second is that there are two new full-screen iMessage effects. These can be seen when iPhone users hold down on the send button in iMessage, then flick over from Bubble to Screen, at which point you can swipe between them. The new effects are love, which makes a big heart, and celebration, which creates a firework-display effect.

Telegraph adds that the third latest feature is a TV app. This most talked-about addition in iOS 10.2 is basically a next-generation TV guide for the streaming generation. It pulls in listings from all your favorite movie and TV show streaming services and suggests content to watch based on popularity and viewing history. Once you choose a movie or TV show, the app immediately opens the appropriate app so you can begin streaming on demand. Apps such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video will be able to support it, although they don't appear to at present.

BGR also shares that there will be new wallpapers available in iOS 10.2. However, it won't be available on all devices, specifically to older iPhone models. Meanwhile, this latest update includes stability improvements and bug fixes too.
