The year 2016 is tough for Samsung. The Samsung Note 7 recall due to battery issues and eventually, the complete discontinuation of the device, had the customer back out from buying Samsung products. To make up for this, the South Korean company promises to deliver their best yet this 2017.

Rumor has it that Samsung will ditch flat screens for its Galaxy S8 smart phones and will go solely with a dual-edge design. Android Headlines reported that next year's model would come in both Exynos and Snapdragon SoC variants, and it will probably still be with a 6GB of RAM.

It is also said that the front design will no longer include a home button. The virtual home button will be integrated into the phone, particularly under the glass at the lower part of the device.

Bezels may also not be available on this new design anymore, Science World reports. This will make the display consume 90 percent of the front end of the phone. S8 is said to be released at February or March and price in the US is expected to be around $850 and $900.

Reports that Samsung Galaxy 8 will not include a headphone jack had fans fuming. Experts believe that this is not a good move, especially that Apple's iPhone 7 already has this feature, which had made Apple fanatics unhappy.   Analysts say that if Samsung pushes through with the no headphone jack model, they are clearly copying Apple's design.  Samsung Galaxy S8 spec will also include a personal assistant similar to Siri. Viv is an AI-powered assistant that will work the same as Siri and Alexa.

Meanwhile, just days after news about the Galaxy S8 has surfaced, Samsung announced that they will release a new color for Galaxy S7 edge. "Black Pearl" color will draw comparisons to the Jet Black iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus. The new variant will be out just in time for Christmas.
