Marvel just dropped the teaser trailer for the "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2" and it instantly topped the weekend trailers. Fans are buzzing with the sneak peeks and Easter eggs in the trailers, and the sequel is now on people's "to-watch" list.

According to the Forbes report, the team up of Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Bradley Cooper, and Vin Diesel have that appeal, which is similar only to the "Star Wars" series when it comes to the group dynamics that is apparent on the big screen. It is one of the reasons why this sequel is going to work as well since followers of the film root for the characters, and how they often make fun of one another despite a constant frustration with each other following the success of the "Guardians of the Galaxy" in 2014. The site added that the first movie garnered $333 million in the United States and $773 million worldwide. Apparently, this may be the first non-Iron Man film to reach the $800 million mark worldwide

On another aspect, the scene stealer on the trailer is definitely Baby Groot who was an instant favorite. Reports from MTV cited the potential of Groot in terms of character development, and the "ass-kicking' capabilities the tiny Tree of Little Words. Disney always has a knack of having lovable sidekicks that become all-time favorites, sometimes even more than the main characters in the animated films. While Baby Groot is definitely a part of the group, viewers cannot help but make the connection.

The film is written and directed by James Gunn, who, by all accounts, have not done any superhero blockbuster movies before "Guardians of the Galaxy" in 2014 but has proved a good working relationship with Disney and with fans as well. Regarding the summer release date, the sequel will kick off the year for Marvel in 2017 on May 2017 to be followed by "Spiderman: Homecoming" and "Thor: Ragnarok".
