Current UFC Lightweight and Featherweight Champion, Conor McGregor, who made history by becoming a dual champion of two different divisions by beating the former Lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez, was said to be approached by wrestling entertainment company WWE. Audie Attar, Conor McGregor's agent, stated in a podcast that the mixed martial arts champion was interested in having a deal with the WWE.

Former WWE superstar and current Executive Vice President of Talent, Live Events and Creative, Paul "Triple H" Levesque was seen watching McGregor's fight against Alvarez and also said in an interview that the Irish fighter has all that it takes to succeed in the WWE, as stated by the Indian Express"I think it's all about business, man," Attar said, according to iSports Times. "If [WWE] is going to come with an offer, we are willing to entertain it. We are here. Have their people call his people. Which is me. We can have a conversation."

Back in August this year, McGregor made an insulting comment about the WWE rosters, which resulted to various professional wrestlers, from the current WWE superstars all the way to the members of the WWE Hall of Fame such as Ric Flair, reacting to his statement via Twitter. "For the most part, I think these guys are p*ssies, to be honest," said McGregor during a Rolling Stone press conference back in August.

"They're messed up p*ssies if you ask me. Fair play to Brock Lesnar; he got in and fought, but at the end of the day, he was juiced up to the f*cking eyeballs. How can I respect that?" McGregor also was recently involved with deal about a possible match against retired boxing champion Floyd Mayweather Jr. "I want a $100 million cash to fight him under boxing rules because he's afraid of a real fight," said McGregor while celebrating his UFC 205 post-fight after party.
