1.       Lost in Translation

Lost in Translation is a Sofia Coppola fim that tells  the story of actor Bob Harris (Bill Murray) who went to Tokyo for a commercial shoot, and Charlotte (Scarlett Johansson) who went with her boyfriend photographer. They ultimately meet in the hotel until they bocame friends, exploring Tokyo and having a complex, deep, and beautiful relationship. 

2.        Jiro Dreams of Sushi

Jiro Dreams of Sushi is an American documentary film that circles around Japanese sushi master Jiro Ono. It tackles about his daily life starting from how he acquires the ingredients for his sushi menu and how making sushi makes up the entirety of his life in Japan. It also features his sons inheriting his master skills to continue the art of making sushi.

3.       Amelie

Cute and charmingly strange, Amelie is also a romantic-comedy film that narrates the queer thinking and view of Amelie Poulain on the world while residing in the heart of Paris. The film won Best Film at the European Film Awards and nominated for five Academy Awards. 

4.       Midnight in Paris

A romantic comedy film by Woody Allen, this film tells of the unusual occurrences that happened to screenwriter Gil Pender (Owen Wilson) whenever he passed through the streets of Paris at midnight. He finds himself traveling through time and meeting his favorite writers like Scott Fitzgerald and Ernest Hemingway.

5.       The Darjeeling Limited

A comedy-drama film, The Darjeeling Limited starts the scene with three brothers--played by Owen Wilson, Adrien Brody, and Jason Schwartzman--on a train leaving for India to have quality time with each other after not meeting in a year in their father's funeral. Another great one by Wes Anderson, this is something that you'd want to watch if you want to visit South Asia.
