During the participation of director Taika Waititi in Reddit Ask Me Anything, he teased something about the film Thor: Ragnarok. The Marvel film is inspired by 1970s and 1980s sc-fi fantasy vibe.

In a report from iO9 GIZMODO, Waititi said, "I think [Thor: Ragnarok] will be one of the most adventurous and most 'out there' of all the Marvel movies. It's a crazy movie."

Ever since the logo was debuted at San Diego Comic-Con, it is speculated that the film would take a lighter and eccentric tone compared to other Marvel films.

Waititi praised Marvel's decision for giving him the freedom to do what he wanted for the film. He even joked that "he didn't even bother trying to make the movie fit in with the larger MCU."

"You can expect a Taika-esque tone. They've been very accepting of my style," Waititi said.

The director added that he hopes "Bruce Banner to be the breakout star of the film," since there's no "solo film starring Mark Ruffalo's turn as The Hulk."

According to Waititi, people can anticipate "references" to the film "Doctor Strange" but he never made any promises.

Meanwhile, The Independent reported that the plot of Thor: Ragnarok is still a secret, but Waititi gave some insight into the tone of the film.

He added that Thor: Ragnarok is one of the "most adventurous and most 'out there' of all the Marvel movies. It's a crazy movie."

The movie Thor: Ragnarok is set to be released in UK cinemas on July 28, 2017.

Furthermore, The Independent wrote, "Anyone familiar with Waititi's style - he happens to be behind one of this year's best films, Hunt for the Wilderpeople - will know that the director was certainly an unusual choice for Marvel; leaving many fans questioning as to what direction he'll take Thor and Hulk in what's been pitched as an 'intergalactic buddy road movie'."
