Disney is pushing through with its plans for its first Marvel comics-themed ride in the U.S.

Coming this summer of 2017, park-goers at Disney California Adventure will be able to travel around The Collector's castle and see his immense treasure trove in the Marvel-based ride Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT!

This comically high-power, rocking new adventure will drop guests directly into story alongside characters from the said blockbuster films.

In January next year, the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, which opened at Disney's California Adventure theme park in 2004, will be closed. However, the heart-stropping drop ride will be replaced with "Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT!" based on the hit movie starring Chris Pratt and Zoe Saldana.

The official Disney Parks Blog has revealed a special preview of what the attraction will look with a behind-the-scenes video and images of the colorful fortress.

According to Disney's blog, Breakout will feature a "epic new adventure combining the familiar, breathtaking free-fall sensation with all-new visual and audio effects, including music inspired by the popular "Guardians of the Galaxy" film soundtrack."

Joe Rodhe of Walt Disney Imagineering said that the setting of the ride is this "giant warehouse, a huge power plant kind of a place that's surging with power."

The Imagineering team took structural nods from oil refineries and color inspiration from comic books.

According to Fox News, the ride also features multiple, randomized storylines so riders will be in for exceptional thrill each time they ride. Work has just started on the attraction, and bits and pieces of the Hollywood Tower Hotel are already being carted away.

The new look has been recently unveiled by Disney. It will feature colorful, space-like touches like satellites, pipes, spires and guarded gates to turn the vintage hotel into a futuristic fortress. However, the full scope of what park-goers will be able to see is unknown at this time.

Disneyland guests at the Hollywood Tower Hotel's Tower of Terror will be able to explore one last time on January 2, 2017.

Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: Breakout is scheduled to debut early next summer, and will likely be tied to the premier of the film franchise's second installment: "Guardians of the Galaxy Vol: 2" in theaters May 2.
