A president spent so much of his time on the road. In fact, Travel and Leisure said that the past five presidents each made between 175 and 400 domestic trips during their first terms.

However, it's true that no two presidents are alike, may it be in terms of political matters and or hotel matters. One common denominator for every presidential hotel is nothing but the finest will do.

For those travelers who are interested in going to places like their favorite (modern) president, below are the favorite hotels of five presidents aside from the White House.

Barack Obama - The Beverly Wilshire

In 2008, Obama and his staff stayed at the Beverly Wilshire Hotel while on the campaign trail. Not just it is fit for a president, the Wilshire Presidential Suite was the same location where Richard Gere's character in "Pretty Woman" also took up residence.

George W. Bush - The Sea Island Lodge

This place in Georgia has a Bush family legacy because it was where the elder Bush and Barbara stayed during their honeymoon.

In 2004, Bush chose the lodge as the site of the G8 summit and, along with then-British Prime Minister Tony Blair, planted a commemorative oak on the property. Fortune also said that Bush selected a patch of land near where his father planted his own oak about 15 years before.

Bill Clinton - The Mayflower Hotel

The Mayflower in D.C. is a historic institution which is also known as the D.C.'s "second best address." The popular "The only thing to fear is fear itself" speech was written at this hotel, and it has played host to several inauguration balls over the year, from Coolidge to Reagan.

George Bush - Kahala Hotel & Resort

The first Bush arrived in this resort using a helicopter on a neighboring golf course to avoid causing traffic jams around the hotel.

The 1500-square-foot Presidential Suite has catered to famous guests which include Elizabeth Taylor, the Dali Lama and the Rolling Stones.

Ronald Reagan - Arizona Biltmore

Ronald Reagan spent his honeymoon with Nancy at the Arizona Biltmore before being a president. This luxury hotel has hosted every president along with some less political faces like Frank Sinatra, Clark Gable, and Marilyn Monroe.
