The Marriott hotel in downtown Brooklyn is currently gaining the attention of the people, specifically the social media users, for its Gravity Room exhibit. To experience the latest trend, Fortune and Travel + Leisure made sure to pay a visit earlier this week.

The company's new in-room decor reflects Marriott Hotel's decision to step up their game in the industry by bringing refreshing designs from the local influences. The temporary installation is part interior design showpiece and part social media event which was made to give visitors a glimpse of what the company can give to its possible customers.

When turned at a 90-degree angle, the floor and ceiling serve as walls. The miniature Marriott room includes a desk, chaise, and fully functioning flat screen TV on the ceiling or wall in reality. It also features a model of a glass-walled shower and sink beneath the room's desktop and small-scale open air closet hanging on a wall.

Whenever guests come, they are always invited to pose in the room with their friends and post their photos on social media. By rotating the camera, the human subjects in the photo are able to create an illusion that they are levitating or standing on the wall.

"Travelers today crave inspiration and unique experience. It's a creative way of showcasing the transformation of our brand and how we're meeting the evolving needs of our guests. This allows you to have some fun with it while sharing our newest ideas." Matthew Carroll, Vice President and Glocal Brand Manager for Marriott Hotels, told Fortune and Travel + Leisure.
